November, 2024
Dear Liberty Families,
November is a busy month at Liberty. School is closed on Monday, November 11 for Veterans’ Day. It is a time to remember all the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country.
Our students are reaching out to our community this month. We will have our annual “Pajama Day” on Wednesday, November 27th. Students are able to wear their pajamas to school and if possible bring a new set of pajamas for a child less fortunate. Pajamas will be collected from November 12th - 27th. We do ask that students do not wear slippers as it is a safety concern. We are also collecting nonperishable food items for Soup Angels. Thank you for supporting these good causes.
As the weather gets colder and the children are wearing their winter coats, hats and gloves, please help us by labeling your child’s clothing. Our “Lost and Found” is already growing. We encourage you to ask your child to check our lost and found baskets if they are missing items.
During car dismissal, please do not park your car and get out of the car as it is causing a traffic jam. We also ask for the safety of all students, that you do not open your car door into the traffic circle. Safety is our number one priority! If you are changing your child’s dismissal plans, please send a note to the classroom teacher. Thank you for your cooperation.
Other important dates to remember:
We wish all our families a “Happy Thanksgiving.” I hope it brings all of you an enjoyable time with your loved ones.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Ellen M. Rechenberger
Student Hours: 8:50am - 3:15pm
LIBERTY’S IMPORTANT REMINDERS: ATTENDANCE: If your child is ill and cannot attend school, please call Mrs. Fredericks (our nurse) at 353-7250 and leave a message. Please leave your child’s full name, class and reason for the absence. When your child returns to school, a written note is required.
**** If your child has a change in dismissal plans, a note must be sent to the classroom teacher who will alert the office. It would be appreciated if phone calls were not made for this purpose unless of an emergency.
